DIANA SHRINE
A week after the tragic death of Diana I started to make this piece. Who could have known the effect her death had on so many of us. Being both English and a mother of two young children, her death had a huge impact upon me. The many questions it raised became a huge part of my work, as the clay worked its therapy for me. It was one of the hardest pieces to make as it kept on reminding me of the terrible event. Now I find it both comforting and strong, it reminds me of how lucky I am, what a great family I have and to live life to the full.
